Mike Heiligenstein is the executive Director of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority who has been elected to the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association, Envision Central Texas, the National Association of Counties Air and Water Quality Subcommittees (former chair), and the Austin-San Antonio Corridor Council (former vice chair). With the knowledge, experience and vision, Mike Heiligenstein will be great additions to the Board.
Mike Heiligenstein has been at CTRMA since its formation in 2003 and oversees the financing and construction of the first toll road independent agency, 183A, which opened in March 2007. Prior to joining CTRMA, Mike Heiligenstein spent more than 23 years in public service, first as the Round Rock city council and later as a Williamson County commissioner. He served as chairman of the Clean Air Force, is a founding board member and two-times vice chairman of the Austin-San Antonio Corridor Council, a founding member and board member of Envision Central Texas, and a member of Air and Water Quality Subcommittee of the National Association of Counties.
